According to its website, Sky Agri Export is a manufacturer and exporter based in Mahuva, Gujarat, offering dehydrated onion and garlic alongside spices and oilseeds. Its Gulfood exhibitor page says it has a presence in more than 35 countries.

Creston & Co is not affiliated with Sky Agri Export. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.

What Sky Agri Export says it makes

Its company website lists dehydrated onion and dehydrated garlic powder, dried chilli and chilli flakes, turmeric, ginger, whole and ground spices, and peanut, sesame and castor seed. It describes itself as one of the leading manufacturers and exporters and says its products are made in house.

  • Addresses: an office at Sahyog Complex in Mahuva town and, per the Gulfood page, a manufacturing unit on Haripara Road, Nana Jadra.
  • Raw material: the Gulfood page says it buys directly from contract farmers.
  • Certifications: the Gulfood page lists BRC, Kosher, Halal, US FDA, HACCP, ISO and FSSAI. The website lists FSSC, Kosher, Halal, FSSAI, APEDA and the Spices Board, and says product quality is checked by Eurofins, SGS and Geochem.
  • Forms of onion and garlic: not stated in detail.
  • Founding year and capacity: not stated.

What to verify before you order

The two certificate lists differ: one names BRC, the other FSSC. Both may be held, or one may be current and one lapsed. That is the first thing to settle.

  • Ask for the BRCGS site code and the FSSC 22000 certificate number, and check each in the BRCGS Directory and the FSSC 22000 public register. Note scope, grade and expiry.
  • Confirm the Haripara Road unit on the FSSAI licence via FoSCoS, and ask whether onion and garlic are dried there or only packed there.
  • The range runs from dehydrated onion to oilseeds and chilli. Its pages describe products as manufactured in house, so ask which items come off its own dryers and which are sourced, and which line will produce your lot.
  • Ask for the actual Eurofins or SGS reports for a recent lot of your product, and check the report numbers with the lab.
  • Ask for the specific forms and mesh sizes you need, since the site does not list them.
  • For US shipments, ask for the FDA food facility registration number for the plant, not the office.
  • Have your own sealed sample tested at an NABL-accredited lab against your market's limits.
