Buying from Foreign Foods: what to check and how we help

Foreign Foods lists a factory at Talgajarda near Mahuva and exhibited at Gulfood 2026. Here is what to confirm before ordering and how we can help.

· 3 min read · Creston & Co

According to its Gulfood exhibitor listing and its own website, Foreign Foods is "a leading supplier cum manufacturer of dehydrated foods and spices" with a factory on Ratol Road, Talgajarda, in Mahuva taluka, Bhavnagar district, Gujarat.

Creston & Co is not affiliated with Foreign Foods. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.

What Foreign Foods says it makes

Its Gulfood exhibitor page names dehydrated onion, dehydrated garlic and ground spices, and lists the company among Gulfood 2026 exhibitors. Its own site, foreignfoods.net, lists fresh onion and garlic, dehydrated white, red and pink onion, dehydrated garlic cloves and ground spices. The specific cuts it makes are not stated.

The website gives two addresses: an office at the Mahuva marketing yard and the factory at Talgajarda. It shows logos for APEDA, FSSAI, FDA, FIEO, IEC and the Spices Board, and states membership of APEDA and the Spices Board. No food safety scheme such as BRCGS or FSSC 22000 is stated. Founding year, capacity and export destinations are not stated.

What to verify before you order

The public information is thin on the plant itself, so most checks are about filling the gaps. A trade-show stand shows the company is actively looking for export buyers, but it does not tell you how the factory is run or which standards it meets.

  • Ask for a full specification sheet by cut (kibbled, chopped, minced, granules, powder) and colour, since the forms are not listed publicly.
  • Confirm the Talgajarda factory address on the FSSAI manufacturing licence, and check whether the marketing yard address is a separate trading registration.
  • APEDA and Spices Board registrations show the company is set up to export. They are not food safety certifications. If your customer requires BRCGS or FSSC 22000, ask whether the plant holds either and check the number in the official directory.
  • Ask for the US FDA food facility registration number for the factory if you ship to the US.
  • Ask which products are made at Talgajarda and which are bought in, since the range includes fresh produce and ground spices.
  • Test sealed samples at an independent NABL-accredited lab, covering microbiology, pesticide residues and ethylene oxide.
  • When we checked in October 2026, the company website appeared to contain unrelated third-party links. Confirm contact details by phone or through the Gulfood listing before sending any payment.
