According to its website, New Indian Dehydrates (the site also uses the spelling New India Dehydrates) set up its dehydrated onion and garlic manufacturing business in 2015 at Mota Jadra on Bhanvad Road, Mahuva, Gujarat. It traces its roots to 2005, when a sister company, Sainath Trading, began trading fresh onion.
Creston & Co is not affiliated with New Indian Dehydrates. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.
What New Indian Dehydrates says it makes
The company website lists dehydrated white, red and pink onion and dehydrated garlic, and its brochure gives the forms as flakes, minced, chopped, granules and powder, with fried and toasted onion as well. The site's FAQ goes wider, mentioning fruit powders, herbs, spices, botanical extracts and custom ingredients.
It states that it holds BRCGS, Kosher, USFDA and Halal credentials and Spices Board and FSSAI registrations, and that it supplies more than 40 countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. Capacity is not stated: the production counters on the site show zero, and a 2026 entry says a new platform with expanded capacity is being developed. Its listing on Ingredients Network shows it as an exhibitor at Fi Asia Indonesia in September 2026.
What to verify before you order
- Two names and a sister trading company appear in the public material. Ask which legal entity will sign the contract and invoice you, and check that name on the GST and FSSAI records.
- Confirm that the Mota Jadra address is the processing plant and that the FSSAI licence is a manufacturing licence for it.
- Look up the BRCGS certificate in the BRCGS directory and confirm it covers dehydrated onion and garlic at that site.
- If capacity is being expanded, ask whether your lot will come from the existing line or the new one, and whether the certificates already cover the new line.
- Because the group also trades fresh onion, ask how raw onion is sourced and stored, and whether any finished product is bought from other plants.
- Ask for the FDA registration number for US orders, the Halal certifying body for Muslim-majority markets, and an NABL test on a pre-shipment sample for microbiology, pesticides and ethylene oxide.
