Buying from Mahuva Dehydration Pvt Ltd: what to check and how we help

Mahuva Dehydration lists white, red and toasted onion and garlic on directory pages, with no own website found. Confirm the legal entity, the plant address and any certificates first.

According to its listings on ExportersIndia and IndiaMART, Mahuva Dehydration Pvt Ltd is a Mahuva company in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, that processes and exports dehydrated onion and garlic. ExportersIndia gives 2007 as its founding year; we did not find a company website.

Creston & Co is not affiliated with Mahuva Dehydration Pvt Ltd. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.

What Mahuva Dehydration says it makes

Its IndiaMART page lists white onion as flakes, kibbled, chopped, minced and granules; red onion as chopped, kibbled, granules and minced; toasted onion in the same four forms; and dehydrated garlic flakes. The ExportersIndia listing adds pink onion, red and white onion powder and dehydrated ginger, and it states a staff of 51 to 100. A capacity figure is not stated in the listings we checked.

Certification is thinly described. A search summary of the IndiaMART page calls it HACCP and ISO certified, without naming the ISO standard, and the ExportersIndia page lists no certificates. The two listings also name different managing directors, and ExportersIndia describes the business as "Manufacturer / Exporter / Supplier / Retailer" while IndiaMART says "Exporter & Service Provider".

What to verify before you order

The name is generic for a town with a large number of dehydration units, and the public record is short. Your first job is to be sure you are dealing with the right company and the right plant.

  • Check the company name, CIN and directors on the MCA portal, and match the GST number shown on IndiaMART to the same legal name on the GST portal.
  • The ExportersIndia address reads like an office location in town. Ask for the factory address and confirm it on the FSSAI manufacturing licence.
  • Its listings describe both manufacturing and supply roles, so ask which plant produces your lot and whether any part is bought in from another unit.
  • Ask which ISO standard it holds and for the HACCP certificate, with the certification body's name, so both can be checked. If your customer needs BRCGS or FSSC 22000, ask whether it holds either.
  • Ask for a pre-shipment sample of the exact form, such as toasted onion granules, tested at an NABL lab for microbiology, pesticide residues and ethylene oxide.
  • For US orders, ask for the FDA food facility registration number.

How we help if you want to buy from Mahuva Dehydration

Because we work in the Mahuva cluster, we can confirm the legal entity and the factory on the ground, meet the management named in its filings, audit the plant and check whatever certificates it holds against the issuers' records. We collect sealed samples, have them tested at an NABL-accredited laboratory, help you negotiate specification and payment terms, supervise loading and check every export document. The fee is fixed in writing first, and your contract is directly with Mahuva Dehydration.

If the checks do not satisfy you, we compare it with other manufacturers nearby. See our dehydrated onion page for forms and specifications, and our guide on telling a trader from a processor.
