According to its listing on IndiaMART, Maahir Foods is "a quality manufacturer & exporters of dehydrated vegetable and spices products" based in Mahuva, Gujarat. Its GlobalLinker profile gives a head office at Village Bhadrod, Mahuva Bandar.
Creston & Co is not affiliated with Maahir Foods. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.
What Maahir Foods says it makes
Its GlobalLinker listing offers dehydrated white, red and pink onion in kibbled, flakes, slices, chopped, minced, granule and powder forms, and dehydrated garlic from cloves through to powder. The IndiaMART listing adds seeds such as cumin, coriander, fennel, fenugreek and mustard, spices such as black and white pepper, and fresh garlic.
On certification, the GlobalLinker profile calls it a "BRC AA Grade certified producer" and mentions Halal and FIEO registration. The IndiaMART listing names FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO 9001:2000, Kosher and Halal. A founding year is not stated. IndiaMART shows a GST registration in 2017 and says the owners draw on more than three decades of family experience in the trade. Capacity is not stated.
The two listings describe the business differently. IndiaMART classes it mainly as a wholesaler or distributor with manufacturing as an additional activity, and states "fully automated production lines". The GlobalLinker About text, which the page marks as AI-generated, says the company focuses "on straightforward sourcing and supply solutions rather than manufacturing".
What to verify before you order
Because its listings describe both manufacturing and trading, the first job is to find out who actually produces your lot.
- Ask directly whether Maahir Foods owns and runs a dehydration plant, and if so, its address. Then ask which plant will produce your order.
- Check that the name on the BRCGS certificate is Maahir Foods and that the site address matches. Look the certificate up in the BRCGS directory to confirm the AA grade and expiry. If the certificate belongs to another plant, you are buying through a trader and should know that.
- Confirm the FSSC 22000 certificate in its public register, with the same name and address check.
- ISO 9001:2000 is a long-superseded edition. Ask for the current certificate, if any.
- Check the FSSAI licence type: a manufacturing licence and a trading licence are different.
- Test a sealed sample at an independent NABL-accredited lab, and make sure the shipped lot is traceable to that sample.
- If the goods go to the US, ask for the FDA registration of the producing facility, not the trading office.
How we help if you want to buy from Maahir Foods
We can approach Maahir Foods for you, establish which plant makes the product, visit and audit it, collect sealed samples for an NABL-accredited lab and check the certificates match the producer. We then negotiate terms, supervise loading and check the documents, for one written fee. You buy directly from the company.
If buying through a trader does not suit you, we compare it with processing plants in the cluster. See dehydrated garlic, the list of other manufacturers, and our guide on trader versus processor.
If you represent Maahir Foods and something here is out of date, contact us and we will correct it.
