What Hygienic Foods says it makes
Its company website gives the plant address as 220/1, Talgajarda Ratol Road, Mahuva. Across its sources:
- Website: dehydrated onion, dehydrated garlic, dehydrated vegetables, spices, fresh vegetables and fried onion, and a section headed "Our Own Cultivation". No certificates or founding year are given.
- Nutrada: onion as chopped, kibbled, granules, minced and powder; garlic as chopped, cloves, granules and powder; cumin seed. It says the plant uses hot air drying, lists 11 to 50 staff and names BRC, FSSC 22000, FSSAI and HACCP.
- Founding: Nutrada shows "Est. 2018" in one place and "founded in 2015" in another.
- IndiaMART: calls it "a leading Exporter based in Mahuva" and lists spices, dehydrated onion and garlic and peanut butter.
- Ownership: Nutrada describes a family partnership of father and son.
- Capacity and export markets: not stated.
What to verify before you order
With a smaller public footprint, the basic facts come first.
- Ask for the year of establishment and the partnership registration, and for the FSSAI licence. Confirm the licence is for manufacturing at the Talgajarda address.
- Its IndiaMART page uses the word exporter only, while Nutrada and the website describe processing. Ask to see the drying line and confirm your lot is made there.
- BRC and FSSC 22000 appear only on Nutrada. Ask for both certificate numbers and check them in the BRCGS directory and the FSSC register.
- Ask for the daily drying capacity, so you can judge whether your volume and timing fit.
- If it grows its own onion, ask which fields and for spray records, then test the lot for pesticide residues against your market's limits.
- Ask whether peanut butter is made or handled on site and how onion and garlic are protected from cross-contact.
- For the US, ask for the FDA facility registration number.
