According to its listing on TradeIndia, HBH Foods is a partnership in Diamond Nagar, behind the marketing yard in Mahuva, that describes itself as an exporter, manufacturer and supplier of dehydrated onion, fried onion and dehydrated garlic. We found no company website.
Creston & Co is not affiliated with HBH Foods. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.
What HBH Foods says it makes
Its TradeIndia listing gives white and red onion granules at 40 to 80 mesh, chopped and minced at 3 to 5 mm, kibbled and powder, crispy coated fried onion, and garlic from flakes to powder. It also lists turmeric, dried ginger, chilli flakes and curry leaf products. It states FSSC 22000, Kosher and Halal, a founding year of 2014 and a staff of 15.
Other public listings do not match exactly. One IndiaMART profile under the same GST number shows about 11 years in business, describes the firm as an exporter and wholesaler and lists products such as spray-dried fruit and peanuts. Another IndiaMART listing mentions BRC standards. Capacity is not stated anywhere we found.
What to verify before you order
- Manufacturer or trader: its listings describe both manufacturing and trading, so ask which plant produces your lot, and ask to see that plant running.
- FSSC 22000: ask for the certificate number and look it up in the FSSC 22000 public register. Check that the registered address is Diamond Nagar, Mahuva, and that the scope includes dehydrated onion and garlic.
- BRC: one listing mentions BRC standards and another does not. Ask whether the site holds a BRCGS certificate and, if so, check it in the BRCGS directory.
- Founding year and ownership: listings give different years and partner names. Ask for the partnership deed or registration, the IEC and the FSSAI licence, and check they name the same firm and address.
- Scale: a team of 15 is small for a drying plant. Ask how many tonnes a month it dries in house and how much, if any, it buys in.
- Testing: test a pre-shipment sample for moisture, microbiology, pesticide residues and ETO. For the US, confirm an FDA facility registration for the producing plant.
How we help if you want to buy from HBH Foods
We can make contact with HBH Foods for you and visit Diamond Nagar to see whether drying happens on site or elsewhere. If another plant is involved, we audit that plant too. We collect sealed samples for an NABL-accredited lab, check the FSSC 22000 and other certificates at their source, negotiate terms, supervise loading and check the documents, for one written fee agreed in advance. You buy directly from the company.
If it is not the right fit, we compare it with other manufacturers in Mahuva. See dehydrated garlic for the garlic forms we source, and read trader vs processor for dehydrated onion for how to tell the two apart.
If you represent HBH Foods and something here is out of date, contact us and we will correct it.
