According to its website, Green Foods, which trades online as Greenfoodexport, is a manufacturer and exporter of dehydrated onion, garlic and spices based on Dwarkadhish Road at Haripara, Mahuva, in Gujarat. Its exhibitor page for Gulfood 2026 in Dubai lists the same address.
Creston & Co is not affiliated with Green Foods. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.
What Green Foods says it makes
Its company website lists dehydrated white onion as powder, granules, minced, chopped, kibbled and flakes; dehydrated red onion in the same forms except kibbled; and dehydrated shallot or pink onion as powder, granules, minced and chopped. It also lists dehydrated garlic, garlic granules, fried onion, other dehydrated vegetables and spices.
The site states that the manufacturing facility is BRCGS certified and shows the BRCGS logo. It says it can provide certificates of analysis, specifications, allergen statements and microbiological reports, and offers custom packaging. The Gulfood page names no certificates. Founding year, capacity, staff numbers and export markets are not stated.
What to verify before you order
The range of colours is the distinctive part of this listing, and it raises its own questions.
- Ask for the BRCGS certificate, look the site up in the BRCGS directory and note the grade and expiry. The website does not state a grade, so ask for it.
- Check that the BRCGS scope covers red and pink onion and garlic, not only white onion.
- Red and pink onion vary more in colour and pungency than white. Ask for the colour and pungency specification for each, and compare a sealed sample from a current lot, not a showroom sample.
- The site offers microbiological and allergen reports. Ask whether they come from an in house lab or an outside one, and whether that lab is NABL accredited.
- Garlic is listed with fewer forms than onion. Ask whether garlic is dried at the same plant or bought in from another unit.
- Confirm the plant address on the FSSAI licence matches the Haripara address on the website.
- For US orders, confirm the FDA food facility registration.
How we help if you want to buy from Green Foods
We can approach Green Foods for you, visit the Haripara plant and see which colours and forms are actually running, and verify the BRCGS certificate and its scope. We take sealed samples, test them at an NABL-accredited lab for moisture, microbiology, pesticide residues and ETO, negotiate the terms, supervise loading and check the documents, for one written fee. You buy directly from the company.
If it is not the right fit, we compare it with other Mahuva plants making red or white dehydrated onion. See other manufacturers and our Mahuva buyer's guide.
