Buying from Garon Dehydrates: what to check and how we help

Garon Dehydrates, which also uses the Garlico Industries name, lists dehydrated garlic and onion from Indore. Its certificate and founding dates need checking first.

According to its listing on IndiaMART, Garon Dehydrates Pvt Ltd is a garlic-focused dehydration company in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and its About text refers to "Garlico Industries Ltd". It is one of the few dehydrated garlic names we found in Madhya Pradesh, close to the Malwa garlic belt rather than the Mahuva cluster in Gujarat.

Creston & Co is not affiliated with Garon Dehydrates or Garlico Industries. This page is a buyer's guide based on public information.

What Garon Dehydrates says it makes

Its IndiaMART listing describes garlic powder and dehydrated garlic as the main line, with onion flakes and a long list of other vegetable powders, flakes and cubes: cabbage, capsicum, potato, beans, carrot, spinach, ginger, green chilli and tomato. It describes the business as manufacturing and also as supplying, trading and exporting. We found no company website.

The listing says the company was established in 1978, while its company registration points to incorporation in 1995. It describes itself as ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP certified; the certificate image on the listing is dated 2011 to 2014, so ask for the current one. It states 101 to 500 staff, names several large Indian food brands as customers and lists export markets including Japan, Australia, South Africa, Germany and Brazil. Capacity is not stated.

What to verify before you order

The public record here is older and less consistent than for most plants, so start with the basics.

  • Ask for a current food safety certificate. The ISO 22000:2005 standard has since been replaced by the 2018 version, so an up-to-date certificate should name ISO 22000:2018 or a GFSI scheme. See BRCGS vs FSSC 22000 vs ISO 22000.
  • Confirm the legal entity. Ask whether you would contract with Garon Dehydrates Pvt Ltd or Garlico Industries Ltd, and check that the name matches the IEC, GST and FSSAI records.
  • Confirm the plant address on the FSSAI manufacturing licence, since the listing shows a registered address in Indore.
  • Its listing describes both manufacturing and trading, and the vegetable range is wide. Ask which products are dried in house and which plant produces your lot.
  • For garlic, ask about raw material origin and whether it is Indian garlic only. Our note on Indian vs Chinese dehydrated garlic explains why buyers ask.
  • Test a sealed sample for residues, ethylene oxide, microbiology and moisture. For US buyers, also confirm FDA facility registration.

How we help if you want to buy from Garon Dehydrates

We can approach the company for you, visit Indore to see whether drying and milling happen on site, collect sealed samples for an NABL-accredited lab, check certificates and registrations, negotiate terms, supervise loading and check the export documents, for one written fee. You buy directly from the company.

If it is not the right fit, we compare it with garlic dehydrators in Gujarat and elsewhere. See dehydrated garlic, the list of other manufacturers and trader vs processor.
