According to its website, Aron Foods is a manufacturer and exporter of dehydrated onion, garlic and Indian spices on National Highway 8E near Devalia, Mahuva. Its Nutrada listing describes a farming family that moved into processing and gives 2020 as the year the business was established.

What Aron Foods says it makes

Its company website lists white, red and pink onion as kibbled, chopped, minced, granules and powder; garlic as cloves, chopped, minced, granules and powder; and toasted onion, fried onion, other dehydrated vegetables, pulses and a long list of whole and ground spices.

The site says the plant runs a fully online line from raw material feeding to finished packing, designed to limit hand contact, and that few companies in the industry have one. Its Nutrada listing adds that the line is made of "SS 360" steel. The site states BRCGS (also written as "BRCS"), FDA, FSSAI and APEDA. Its Nutrada listing gives 11 to 50 staff and Ex Works as the trade term. Capacity and export countries are not stated.

What to verify before you order

  • BRCGS: the site uses two names for it. Ask for the certificate number and check the BRCGS directory for the grade, the expiry and a scope that covers onion and garlic.
  • Automated line: on a visit, follow one batch from intake to packing and see where people still handle product, for example at sorting and metal detection.
  • Steel grade: "SS 360" is not a common food-contact grade name. Ask which stainless steel grade the contact parts use and for the fabricator's material certificates.
  • Young business: with 2020 as the stated start, ask for export references and shipping records from recent seasons.
  • Ex Works: if it quotes Ex Works only, you will handle inland haulage to Pipavav or Mundra and export clearance. Decide whether FOB terms suit you better and agree who does the stuffing.
  • Spices and onion in one plant: ask how spice milling is kept separate from onion and garlic lines to avoid cross-contact and allergen issues. Test a pre-shipment sample for microbiology, pesticide residues and ETO, and confirm the FDA registration if you ship to the US.

How we help if you want to buy from Aron Foods

We can speak to Aron Foods for you, visit the plant near Devalia and audit the line it describes, including segregation from spice milling. We collect sealed samples for an NABL-accredited lab, check the BRCGS and FDA details at their sources, negotiate terms including the Incoterm, supervise loading and check the documents. You pay one written fee agreed up front and buy directly from the company.

If it does not fit, we compare it with other manufacturers in the cluster. See dehydrated onion for forms and grades, and BRCGS vs FSSC 22000 vs ISO 22000 for what a certificate does and does not prove.
