According to its website, Alpha Food Ingredients is "a leading manufacturer and exporter of dehydrated onion and garlic products from India", based at Bhanvad on the Mahuva road in Gujarat. Its Nutrada listing gives its establishment as 2022, while the website speaks of more than a decade of industry experience.

What Alpha Food Ingredients says it makes
The company website gives the address as Plot No. 2, Mahuva Bhanvad Road, Bhanvad, Mahuva. It says the following:
- Products: dehydrated white, red and pink onion and dehydrated garlic, "from flakes to powder". Nutrada lists onion as kibbled, chopped, minced, granules and powder, and garlic as cloves, chopped, minced, granules and powder.
- Scale: it claims more than 5,000 MT of production, more than 6,000 MT of cold storage, and three or more production facilities. Nutrada lists 11 to 50 staff.
- Sourcing: it says it buys directly from local farms and processes in an in-house facility, keeping control of quality at each stage.
- Certifications: the text describes a "BRC-certified facility". Logos for Kosher, Halal, ISO, FSSAI and SPI are shown without detail. Nutrada lists BRC and FSSAI.
- Export markets and founding year: not stated on the website.
What to verify before you order
The claims are clear on scale and less clear on which site does what, so the checks focus on that.
- Ask for a list of the three or more facilities with addresses, and which of them the BRCGS certificate covers. Check the number in the BRCGS directory.
- Ask whether all facilities are owned and run by Alpha, or whether some are partner or job-work units. A staff figure of 11 to 50 alongside several plants is a fair reason to ask.
- For each logo shown, ask for the certificate itself: which Kosher and Halal bodies, which ISO standard, and the FSSAI licence with its address.
- Ask how the experience claim relates to a company set up in 2022, for example whether it reflects the promoters' earlier work.
- Ask where the cold store is and how finished powder is kept dry, since onion powder takes up moisture readily.
- Test sealed samples for microbiology, pesticide residues and ETO, and ask for the FDA registration number if you ship to the US.
