You can order matching necklaces, earrings and bracelets from Rajkot, and many designs are already sold as sets. The hard part is making the pieces look identical when they sit side by side. Plating colour, stone shade and finish can vary between batches, so a matching set needs to be made, plated and checked as one order.
Ready sets and custom sets
Many workshops sell a necklace with matching earrings as a standard set, especially for bridal, kundan, AD and temple styles. Adding a bracelet, ring or maang tikka to an existing design is usually possible, but it may need a new mould and a separate MOQ.
For a custom set, the maker designs all the pieces from one master motif. Ask for a sample of every piece in the set, not only the necklace, before you approve the design.
Where matching goes wrong
- Plating colour: gold plating can come out yellower or paler from one plating batch to the next.
- Stones: glass and CZ stones from different lots can differ slightly in shade.
- Finish: polished and matte areas may not match if pieces are finished by different workers.
- Different units: if the earrings and bracelet are made in another workshop, the differences grow.
How to keep a set consistent
- Ask for all pieces of the set to go through the same plating batch.
- Have stones for the whole order bought from one lot at the start.
- Approve a full reference set and keep one as a counter-sample.
- Inspect pieces side by side, under the same light, before packing.
- Pack each set together, so a customer never receives pieces from different batches.
Selling sets and separates
If you sell pieces both as sets and individually, order the separate pieces in the same production run as the sets. Reordering earrings alone a few months later risks a visible colour difference when a customer pairs them with a necklace bought earlier.
What this means for a buyer
Treat a matching set as one product in your purchase order, with one approved reference. The jewellery purchase order checklist covers the clauses that help.
Creston & Co works for buyers only, for a fixed fee agreed in writing. We compare pieces side by side against the approved set, check plating and finish, and supervise packing. Start with a free sourcing review.
